Party Pilipinas gets an International choreographer

PARTY Pilipinas, the replacement of SOP and Sunday musical/variety program of GMA Network supposedly set to premier on March 21 but for some reasons, most likely because ASAP XV has a Special Boracay episode and the launching of ABS-CBN Summer Station ID, they move it to March 28. As part of the freshest changes they moves up to a new level of entertainment
as it taps the expertise of world-class
choreographer Ruben Monet Ludlow
popularly known as Fusion.

Fusion who arrived in Manila last March
17, feels elated being part of GMA
Network and is greatly enjoying his time
leading the dance workshops for the
artists and various dance crews of
Party Pilipinas.

"I'm happy being part of the GMA
family...and I'm looking forward to
growing and learning a lot from my colleagues here," said Fusion, who is a
friend of the country's legendary
choreographer Geleen Eugenio.

The half Mexican-half American
choreographer unveils he started dancing
hiphop when he was 17 years old. Just
like the young members of the GMA Dance Crew and some Kapuso artists he met a
day after he arrived, Fusion then was
just 'dancing freestyle and dancing for fun" when people told him he should
pursue a professional career.

The 31-year-old choreographer shared he
followed the advise and went to
Hollywood where his first project was to
perform with Will Smith in the music
video of the blockbuster movie Men In Black.

Since then, Fusion's unique dance
style and powerful stage performance has
made a mark in Hollywood that prompted
music icons to request him to perform,
choreograph and even tour with them. Among these celebrities are Madonna, Beyonce Knowles, Akon, Diana Ross, Backtreet Boys, NSync, SisQo, Missy
Elliott, Puff Diddy, Lil Kim, Justin
Timberlake and Ludacris.

Fusion is known in Hollywood as "Diddy
of the Dance World" and "Grand master
Choreographer."
Aside from these titles,
Fusion is also known as the founder of
Kung Fu Hiphop, a dance craze loaded
with the combined dynamic movements of
hiphop, martial arts and wushu.

Aside from being a dancer/choreographer,
Fusion is also a hiphop teacher and a
businessman. Armed with experiences,
Fusion taught in several performing arts
schools in California. And in 2000,
while he was on tour with N'SYNC, SisQo and Pink, he created a talent management that will help bring great dancers in
the United Sates called the "Rising
Movement".

Despite his world-renowned success and
achievements, Fusion remains warm,
humble and accommodating to all the
people he encounter. He quips "I'm
very excited to be back here in Manila. And, yes its great being here with
everyone telling you're so famous. I
love that. But many times I'm just Ruben, a regular guy living his dreams,
doing his best everyday that he can."

The Grand Launch of Party Pilipinaswill be on March 28.

Is this enough to make ASAP XV threatened? What do you think?

hu commented above, tama ka. hehe.. choks na choks ang motto mo. if they want party pilipinas to really compete with asap, better get rid of the old ones, especially the mayabang janno and jaya, they can retain ogie, pero sana sa backstage na lang, he's a good composer indeed, and regine.

Who?! Fusion?! International Choreographer who has worked with Beyonce, Akon, P. Diddy, Missy Elliott, Ludacris, Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys and Will Smith?!

Duda ko na yang Fusion na yan pumayag na sa offer ng GMA kasi nga hindi na patok yung mga choreo niya sa mga nabanggit na sikat na artists! What I mean, baka he is a rejected choreographer!

At eto pa, LIVE singing daw sila at LIVE band! It's ok, pero sana nga lang yung crowd response like cheering, shouting, giggling etc. must be LIVE also at hindi recorded!

Maybe in it's initial/pilot episode. Ang tanong, Hanggang kailan? Mag-rate? Yes!, it maybe beat ASAP in its infancy, pero ASAP parin ang mananalo because the people behind the show (ASAP) ay walang patid and suporta kahit noon natatalo sila sa rating.
I think if GMA wants to beat ASAP, then they have to change their HOST, especially Janno,na YABAG sa bisaya (sintunado) ang boses. Not only that, he is known to be always late in his show. Hindi lang yan, what they did in their farewell epsiode sa SOP ay unprofessional.

I agree... siguro sa first episode, it will rate out of curiosity ng mga tao, but the following episodes.. hmmm... i dont know... probably because it's still the SAME SOP na pinalitan lang ng pangalan..... but Im really really disgusted on how the sop stars acted and did on their last episode... even galvante was there... obvious sign of DESPERATION... it shows what they're really after... ratings... pathetic...

Based on the trend of TV ratings by AGB Nielsen in Mega Manila from March 1 - 21, 2010, it’s safe to say that ABS-CBN has finally conquered GMA’s turf.

And what is my basis for such a statement? ABS-CBN programs topped (most) all daytime and primetime races for 21 days for the month. This contradicts GMA’s Press Release recently claiming their lead in Mega Manila from march 7-16, conveniently excluding the March 1 -7, and weekdays rating. Even grade VI students can easily tell who’s leading in the rating game. (Below are the dates of published AGB rating.
