new station ID features all the networks
entertainment and news personalities from Boto Mo, I-Patrol Mo, Bayanijuan,
and other ABS-CBN Foundation programs
like Sagip Kapamilya, Kapit Bisig sa
Ilog Pasig, and E Media.
The station ID features summer as the
perfect time to enjoy and start
change. According to ABS-CBN Creative
Communications Management (CCM) Head
Robert Labayen, “"Every summer day is
the perfect time for new beginnings.
Every day is a chance to be pro-active,
to help save the environment, to promote
livelihood, and to look at the world we
live in, in a brand new light”."
Collage, an art technique combining
colors and images, was used to to come
up with a final canvass that portrays a
better world for Filipinos.
The theme song “Summer Ang Simula”
was rendered by “Pinoy Dream
Academy” Grand Star Dreamer Yeng
Constatino and Kean of Callalily.
The song is an original composition by
ABS-CBN Creative Communications
Management team: lyrics by Edsel Misenas and music by Lloyd Corpuz,
Odon Aspiras and Jordan Constantino, produced by Jonathan Manalo for Star Records.
The 2010 ABS-CBN Summer Station ID was

GMA is fast losing its grief on its turf, MEGA Manila. Bukas na bukas ang mga mata ng GMA sa unti-unting pag-guho ng kanilang pader sa Manila (na huwak nila mula noong 2005) at wala silang magagawa. Kung pag-babasihan ang survey firm ng kinu-kumisyon ng GMA, simula pa noong nakaraang taon, December to be exact, dumikit at paakyat ang ratings ng mga programa ng ABS, samantala ang 7 naman ay unti-unting bumababa.
Example lang dyan, ang Darna ang numero unong panlaban ng 7 sa 2, kung dati-rati GMA dominates the upper top five in the Primetime, PBB steal the top position under their noses, hindi lang yan, before it, Mariam’s shows would always yield a 40+ rating in the primetime, but since the arrival of Santino, nag-bago na nga ang viewing habit ng Metro Manila. To prove a point, Darna ended its final episode with a “disappointing” 30+ rating, a below the standard for the kapuso channel.
Kung mula ng 2005, ABS rarely enter the top five in the primetime, mukhang nag-iba na talaga ang viewing habit ng Metro Manila, isa pa; hindi lang sa primetime namamayag-pag ang ABS pati na rin sa daytime, as proven by the supremacy of Wowee and Showtime over its counterpart. One may ask anong nangyari? Peharps Mr. Guzon is asking its executives what the hell is happening.
GMA think-tangs is doing a damage control by issuing a left and right statements and figures claiming that they (GMA) still lead in Metro Manila and still the Number 1 station. Alas, ang mga tao ay marunong naman mag-bilang ng numero, kahit high-school marunong naman mag-appriciate ng simple statistics. Kaya kahit anong gawin ng mga tauhan ng GMA, wala na talagang makaka-pigil sa pag-reclaim ng ABS sa Metro Manila bilang numero UNOng estasyon.
Maala-ala ko lang, 2 or 3 years ago, Atty. Guzon issued a statement na malapit na daw nila makuha ang buong PILIPINAS. Kaya lang hangang ngayon ito’y isang panaginip lang ni Mr. Guzon. Latest TNS data shows that ABS is beating over its rival big time.
If the trend continues, gigising na lang ang kamuning station, na natabunan ng sila ng Ka-shake chanel ng Novaliches. TV 5 is fast growing and as a proof, recently I watched, talentadong pinoy, namangha ako sa daming ng kanilang commercial, proving that advertisers believe that a lot of people watch tv 5.
Recently, ABS continuously make its presence felt, mula lunes hangang lingo, they dominate the airwaves with their carefully crafted shows, meaningful dramas that not only attract the locals, but as well as abroad. I think, by the end of March; ABS will be proclaimed by the AGB as the Number 1 station in MEGAMANILA. Unless, GMA will not allow the results to be release, since sila naman ang nag-kumisyon sa survey (as they still hold the NUTAM rating and did not release it for obvious reason).
